“Tomorrow we’re going to the sea” Uncle’s voice echoed loudly in the hearts of kids like us.
Hooray! we’re dancing like crazy
I don’t know why, but whenever we’re happy, our bodies move like a monkey.
“Wait, what does the sea look like?” Rocky frowned and stopped dancing
“I don’t know” I answered “I guess it must be a really big fishpond”
“There are many kinds of creatures I've heard stories about it” Larry said, still move his body “not only fish”
“The poster on the wall at school” Rocky said quickly “You guys never noticed”
Larry smile “Who care”
“Just a blue water” Rocky said “"I know what it’s like, I know about a kind of fish and a boat for fisherman”
“We’ve never seen the sea in real life” I said, “we’re just eleven, we're still going to see the sea with our own eyes—no matter what!”
“Right” Larry pointed his finger at the sky and drew to his eyes “Through my cute little eyes”
“Oh, my bad, guys” Rocky started dancing “I was being foolish. I just wanted to seem smart to know it”
“Actually” Larry swam in the air with his hands “We are ALL Geniuses!”

I tried to close my eyes and sleep, but my mind wandered, imagining scenes of the sea.
“Sleep Please”

Hello, Mr.Sun! Thank you for the light.

“Let’s go” My Uncle lead the way
“Yes Sir!” We responded with excitement
All the trees looked super weird. And what was up with those thorns—why were they so sharp? I had no idea what kind of trees they were, but we didn’t have time to stop and figure it out. We were too busy chasing after Uncle, our short little legs racing to take three or four steps for every one of his giant ones!

We had to stick together—mostly because the roadside was crawling with stray dogs, and who knew what they were thinking? They looked like they owned the street.

We were absolutely scared, but Uncle had a stick at his hand like a superhero’s weapon, ready to protect us from anything that came our way.

The air carried a scent I didn't recognize—salty, heavy and smelly.
“This smells kind of bad” I said
“I agree with Goos. Why does the sand stink so much?” Rocky added, wrinkling his nose “The sand’s color was dark and muted”
“Well, what you guys just inhaled… was a pile of dog poop under the sand” Larry laughed out loud “Dog pee makes a rich sand”
“Yuck” We squeezed our noses closed with our fingers.

We kept walking. My feet could feel countless tiny pebbles—what people call grains of sand—sneaking into my shoes. I welcomed them in, wiggling my toes in response, as if to greet the sand back.

I heard a sound—something rhythmic.
It faded, then came again.
Disappeared, then returned once more, like it was playing a game of hide-and-seek.

With every step we took, our feet sank deeper into the sand.
Up ahead, the sea came into view—endless, shimmering, stretching as far as the eye could see.
I wanted to get closer, so I picked up my pace.

Walking on sand in flip-flops was pretty difficult, so we took them off and hung them on our arms instead.

My uncle spoke seriously.
Rule number one: Don’t go into the seawater over your knees.

Rule number two: Watch out for jellyfish. They like to hide in the wet sand and can sting you with venom through their skin. Sometimes they even look like plastic bags, so stay away from them.

Number three: Always keep an eye on me, and if I start looking smaller in the distance, hurry to get closer to me as fast as you can. And make sure you guys play together.

“Yes Sir”
“Sir Yes Sir”
My friends and I were beside ourselves with excitement
We nodded obediently, but our minds had already drifted away to the sound of the waves and the vast sea
My eyes drank in the scene, and my mind quickly painted the picture:
the vast sky meeting the deep blue sea,
white foam rolling in as waves crashed onto the shore,
and mountains that looked tiny from where we stood.

"Whoa, this sand is crazy hot!"
"Run! We need the sea water before our feet burn off!"
Running on sand is harder than running on the road. Every step drags us down, and we barely move forward

“Hooray!!!” Finally, our cute little paws dipped into the ocean.

The first touch of my bare foot on the seawater sparked a whirlwind of sensations through my body.
The waves pulled back and surged forward again and again, creating a steady, soothing rhythm.

At that moment, it felt like the sand beneath the sea was gently pulling me in, little by little.
My paws gone the sea eating me
“The taste was insanely salty,” Larry said
“Totally! The taste was absolutely terrible” Rocky face look like he drinks a poison bottle
“Yuck!!” I agree

Whatever
We were happy and playful; the waves didn’t just touch the shore; they touched our little hearts.
